Moses made the tabernacle after the pattern of the tabernacle God showed him.

When Moses made the tabernacle he made it after the pattern of the tabernacle God showed him. Exod 25: 9] According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

I. The earthly tabernacle was made after the heavenly tabernacle

                 1.  In the book of Hebrews is mentioned again. "Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount." Heb. 8: 5

                 2.  What God showed Moses on the mount was the temple of God in heaven. "And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened." Rev. 15: 5

II. The earthly tabernacle was a symbol of the real tabernacle of heaven

                  1. The tabernacle on earth was to sacrifice clean animals on its altar.

                 2. There is no animals in heaven that have blood. So, why then there is a tabernacle in heaven.

                 3. Let us see what happen in the heavenly tabernacle.

Heb. 9: 11] But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. ... ... 14] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

God ordered Moses to make a tabernacle on earth like the tabernacle in heaven, so when God destroys the tabernacle or temple on earth then they will start thinking why then there is a tabernacle in heaven. No sacrifices can be offered in heaven because living things with blood can live only on earth and not in heaven.

III. God to make the sacrifice in heaven had to come to earth in the  likeness of men:

                 1. God, to make a sacrifice for mankind, He cannot make a sacrifice of earthly animals. God to redeem the human beings on earth must find the perfect man that never made one sin all his life. If God will find a perfect man, he will not be able to redeem except one person.  God could not find the perfect man so He decided to be that God man a perfect sacrifice.   Isa. 59: 16] And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

                 2. Phil. 2: 5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

IV. God prepared the sacrifice in the tabernacle in heaven before the foundation of the world.

                 1. The Lord Jesus Christ told the Jews that, Abraham saw the day He was crucified and

he was glad.  John 8: 56] Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

                 2. God before He created the world foreordained the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot which was shed on Calvary to be the great sacrifice of the heavenly tabernacle.

"1peter 1: 19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  20] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world,"

V. Men can be saved if they believe

                 1. In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

Rom. 10: 9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

                 2. The Lord Jesus Christ was the heavenly sacrifice for mankind.

Rev. 5:9] And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

                 3.  The Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead. .... that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
