THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT
The Most Precious Gift
By Atif Himadeh
To receive the most precious gift God offers to mankind you should know first of all, how He offers it. No man from this world, whoever he maybe, has the ability or the authority to grant this Gift. But we present to you the Way God has prepared for you to take if you desire to receive this Gift. If you fail to take this path it will be impossible for you to get it.
Many have tried to obtain this great Gift by means of their own good deeds and others by all kinds of religiosity. But all have drastically failed to reach it or to even look at it. All have tried their own ways, not His.
The Gospel of John illuminates the way that leads us to this Great Gift. It says in John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” If you still crave to receive it, you are required to know the way that leads to God. Take note what this Bible verse says, “no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.“ God also says in Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” It is impossible for the sinner to receive God’s gift and gain access into His awesome presence without having his sins forgiven. No one can forgive sins except God. In order for God to justly differentiate between humans he established the way of forgiveness so that He could be just in His judgments. God looked for a man to carry out this great commission but He found none. “And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him,” Isaiah 59:16.
When God found no man to pave the way to heaven, He Himself descended in the form of a Man and made the way to heaven as a gift for man. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8. The Lord Jesus Christ was God incarnate and therefore became the way to heaven. That’s why the Lord Jesus Christ said, “no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The Bible says in Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” So in order to receive this gift you have to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. This Gift, which is eternal life, is the greatest gift God has ever offered to man. How, then, can I receive this Gift?
The apostle Paul answers this question. He says in the Epistle to the Ephesians, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God not of works, lest any man should boast.” This gift is in accordance with God’s grace and it is offered to us freely by the death of Lord Jesus Christ on the cross where He shed His blood for the remission of our sins. So this gift is received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is called here “God’s gift” because the Bible says, “not of works, lest any man should boast”. Salvation therefore is a gift that is Life Eternal.
You might ask if it is imperative to believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. The answer is: “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” So confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believing in your heart that Jesus who was crucified rose again from the dead, is both the foundation of Salvation from sins and the receiving of God’s gift that is Eternal Life. This is God’s gift and not of anything we do.
It is impossible for man to both reach God in his mortal body through a space rocket or to find any other than the Lord Jesus Christ to save him from his sins. As the Bible says in Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who will save us from Hell and bring us to heaven.
Some think that money can secure the way to heaven. As a result they pay to priests, churches or mosques to purchase the way to heaven.
These beliefs and ideas have been abolished by the apostle Peter in 1Peter 1:18-19, “forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” We can neither buy our redemption by silver or gold nor can we be redeemed and saved from our sins by our vain conversation or deeds. Some would say we have been worshiping this way for thousands of years, and since we are millions by number we must be correct in our worship. But the Apostle Peter confirms to you that whatever you have received from your fathers could not be really true.
One thing we are sure of is what God’s Word says in Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Peter assures that redemption and remission of sins is solely by the blood of Christ that was shed on the cross. “but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,” 1Peter 1:19. This means that Christ’s death was predestined by God, the Father, even before the creation of the world. So it was not a mere accident.
Now he who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will not perish but have everlasting life. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” (John 3: 16).
To receive the greatest and most precious Gift of eternal life from God, you should confess that you are a sinner and then believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for you. Then ask Him to forgive your sins by His shed blood on the cross and to give you eternal life.
Pray this prayer: Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. You are the only one who is able to forgive my sins and grant me eternal life. Please forgive my sins and give me the greatest gift - eternal life. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you prayed and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart, you have received this precious free gift and the savior the Lord Jesus Christ is in your heart in the Holy Spirit.
This day _______________ I received the precious gift of eternal life from the Lord Jesus.
