 Prayer letter 2013

Dear Praying partners:

Greetings from Jerusalem the city where God made peace with man yet the people in this city do not believe that. Thank you very much for praying for us and for supporting us. Your support greatly helped us in continuing the Lord’s work. May the Lord richly bless you. Keep praying for us.

As a missionary for fifty one years in Jerusalem I learned one great lesson and that is what the Lord Jesus Christ said is very true. Every missionary wants to win all the people of the country he is a missionary to. When you come to Jerusalem you will remember the words of the Lord Jesus Christ who said, Matt.23: 37.  "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!"

I always thought that only in the days of the Apostles people were scattered Acts 8: 1. "And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles." When people accept the Lord and immigrate to other countries for many reasons, and you find yourself starting from the beginning.

When people accept Christ we rejoice but when they immigrate and leave the country we are sad but when we get the news that they became preachers or preachers wives or deacons or deacons wives or are faithful members, to whatever country they immigrated to,  we rejoice again.

So far we know that out of the first 12 members of the church we have one in London, one in California, and three in Australia. They went as singles and now they have families. More then sixty per cent of the people who joined the church have immigrated.  We will continue to win people and let them scatter to all the world. This is why the Bible in Psalms says,  Psa. 122: 6 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee." Pray for the people in Jerusalem that they will have peace with God.

   Keep praying for us.

Dear Praying partners:

Thank you very much for praying for us and for supporting us. Your support greatly helped us in continuing the Lord’s work. May the Lord richly bless you. Keep praying for us.

Fifty one years ago I came to Jerusalem as a missionary, and seven months after I came on the 16th of September, the First Baptist Bible Church of Jerusalem was organized with twelve members.

God allowed me to write this year six new tracts. I printed them and started distributing them in Jerusalem. On Palm Sunday and  On Easter Sunday I distributed hundreds of tracts. Many days a week I go down to the old city and witness and give out tracts. We have a web sites in English, Arabic and Hebrew. The material on the web sites have tracts and correspondence Bible courses. Most of the courses are in Arabic for the purpose of winning people to the Lord Jesus Christ.

When people accept Christ we rejoice but when they immigrate and leave the country we are sad but when we get the news that they became preachers or preachers wives or deacons or deacons wives or are faithful members we rejoice again. So far we know that we have preachers in Europe, U.S.A., Australia, and Arab World.

Keep praying for us.

Prayer letter 2013

Dear Praying partners:

Greetings from the hill where the Lord Jesus Christ paid for our sin by his blood which He shed on the cross. Thank you very much for praying for us and for supporting us all the past  years. We thank all those who could not support us but are praying for us.  The church is sending you the final edition of my booklet "Where is Calvary" free of charge  if you need more copies please write us and tell us how much you want.  May the Lord richly bless you. Keep praying for us.

The church meets in the last 51 years in a rented apartment. The price of a rented apartment rose in the last fifty years to 20 to 50 times the price fifty years ago. The  land lord asked the church to increase the rent by 120% . We finally with the help of a good lawyer we settled the rent of the church with the increase of 66% . We are living in the church. If we rent an small apartment it will cost us more than  $1000 US a month and we cannot afford it.

What is encouraging is; when one person accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior;  he will be burdened for the salvation of his whole  family. We are still active in the church work,  in the Correspondence Bible School, in following up those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal  savior  and in training them to serve the Lord.

God allowed me to write few tracts, if you like to read some of them here is the connection:  http://www.baptistjerusalem.com/tractspage.html. If you like a tract you can print it for your church as long as you do not sell it. There are many articles on the Webb http://www.baptistjerusalem.com/ If you are interested it printing some of them, write us for permission.
