| "There hath no temptation
taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will
not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear
it." I cor. 10:13. Neh. 3: 6 Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. Jehoiada the son of Paseah. The meaning of the name Jehoiada is Jehovah (The Lord) knows. The word son of Paseah means the son of the Passover. The devil is going to tempt us, but the Lord (Jehovah) knows the son of the Passover and He will not tempt those who have accepted Christ as their personal saviour above their ability but make a way to escape that they may be able to bear it. Meshullam the son of Besodeiah. The meaning of the name Meshullam is rewarded. The word son of Besodeiah 1. Assemble with the Lord. 2. Consult the Lord 3. Converse with the Lord 4. Enter into secret communion with the Lord. The devil will tempt the believer and when he will overcome, God will reward him because he was faithful. He is the son of Besodeiah that is he is present when the people of God assemble together with the Lord, he consults the Lord when he faces a problem, he is always praying and converseing with the Lord, and he is in communion and fellowship with the Lord. 7: And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side the river. Melatiah the Gibeonite. The meaning of the name Melatiah whom the Lord delivers. Gibeonite is the people who lives in Gibeon. Gibeon means a hill. Jadon the Meronothite. The meaning of the name Jadon is He (the Lord) judges. Meronothite is the people who lives in the city of Meron. Meron is a word not found in the Hebrew language. men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah. Mizpah it is a town in Gilead and the meaning is watch-tower. |
